No matter what else is going on in the world, cancer is an ongoing reality.
I was motivated to create an art fundraiser for the NBCF because my sister died six weeks before her 41st birthday and mum is thankfully in remission.
What started as one painting, turned into three. What started as a group exhibition with 30+ fundraising artists, turned virtual and solo due to COVID-19.
Nudes are new to me. Well, not totally new, as I’m nude under my clothes all the time. Painting them is new. What blew me away was how incredibly cathartic it was. This process challenged me as I moved through the stages, unable to step or hide away.
