Art Fundraiser

Our breasts need your support.

As a Zero Hero, I want a world where there are ZERO deaths from breast cancer.

I believe every death from breast cancer is one too many. My sister was one too many.

To achieve this, I’m raising funds for research on better treatments and prevention.

When you purchase a painting from my Art Fundraising Series I’ll donate 15% to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

A reflection

No matter what else is going on in the world, cancer is an ongoing reality.

I was motivated to create an art fundraiser for the NBCF because my sister died six weeks before her 41st birthday and mum is thankfully in remission.

What started as one painting, turned into three. What started as a group exhibition with 30+ fundraising artists, turned virtual and solo due to COVID-19.

Nudes are new to me. Well, not totally new, as I’m nude under my clothes all the time. Painting them is new. What blew me away was how incredibly cathartic it was.  This process challenged me as I moved through the stages, unable to step or hide away.

Please click on the links above. They may help you or someone else transition through the dark times, know there is support and love, and that even in chaos there is light.

Your donation in action…

$35 Could provide a microchip for a smartphone that ‘reads’ cancer cells in blood to detect if breast cancer is returning.

$50 Helps to make treatment more powerful but less toxic to the body, which decreases side effects.

$100 Helps to develop next-generation treatments that enable the immune system to attack cancer cells.

$250 Could help Australian women take part in a trial that will test a new mix of treatments which aim to switch off a tumour’s ‘survival factor’ so it can be killed.
