Title:    “Finding the Line”

Description:  Inspired by the documentary “Finding the Line”, a film about fear, it’s paralysing grip on humans and how it affects our decision-making. Olympian and X Games Slopestyle champion Anna Segal and her Freeride World Tour, big mountain skiing sister, Nat Segal use their skiing to understand fear and how it manifests in the two siblings’ lives.

With this painting I wanted to create the dual sensation of vastness and intricate detail. Fear can be overwhelming, making us feel small and powerless. At the same time, channelling it into a positive can make us feel bigger and stronger than we ever thought possible.

It’s about finding the line, the individual line that only we can choose to take, which will help reveal our potential.
